The local's take

The Links is the value play at Sandestin. Tom Jackson's 1974 routing along the bay. Wind is the whole game — if it's blowing, plan to add 1–2 clubs. Lower price point than Raven, just as enjoyable for the right player.

Holes worth knowing

Five holes along the bay are the headline — the wind is the second character.

4Par 4 · 405 yds
Bay-side par 4

dFirst glimpse of the bay. Wind from the right pushes everything toward the water.

14Par 3 · 165 yds
Over the marsh

All carry over marsh. Often plays into the wind. Bail-out short of green.

18Par 5 · 525 yds
Closing par 5 along the bay

Bay frames the entire hole. Reachable in calm conditions — most won't see calm.
